Irimbiliyam, a village in Kerala has been the home-ground for these gifted Vaidyas of Peringattuthodiyil family, who were trained and educated in the traditional Ayurvedic knowledge and practices through the mode of classical ‘gurukula’ system from great grandfathers who were accomplished Vaidyas.
It was in 1958 a prominent and pious descent of Peringattuthodiyil family, Mr. Saidalavi Vaidyar started VAIDYAMRUTHAM HERBOMINERALS in Nilambur, as a physician outlet or ‘Vaidya Sala’. Being a philanthropist and a sincere person P. Saidalavi Vaidyar was the most respected name among the Vaidyas along Malabar region. He was so committed to the quality and efficacy of the medicines which are prepared in strict adherence to the principles and procedures prescribed in Ayurvedic texts.
As a traditional clinician, thousands of people from near and far-off places benefitted from his healing capabilities. All the classical Ayurvedic medicines were prepared keenly under his direct supervision, ensuring their quality. It was his vision that led to the mechanised production of Ayurvedic products to meet the increasing demand.
